This is the very unusual and unique little island of "Morpion"...... a small deserted oasis of sand and one tiny little "beehive" hut.... It's a beautiful spot to visit, gorgeous soft sand and crystal clear waters.....
Morpion belongs to the private island of Petite St Vincent, but they welcome visiting yachts and we always pay a visit to this little Caribbean gem....
It can be quite tricky to get to the island as it surrounded by reef, so its a slow and careful "eyeball" only approach through the deepest part of the coral heads and reef.....
Surrounding the east and south side of the island is beautifully clear waters on a golden sandy bottom... great to relax in the waters around this little sandy island..
Many visitors have carved their name in the wooden frames of the little beehive hut, and its a good place to leave your cold drinks whilst playing on the island or in the surrounding waters....
That's the "Oasis" dinghy anchored off the south end of the sandy spit....
Ditto again..... with a small yacht coming in through the reef pass and heading towards PSV...
Ditto the dinghy....
Closer ditto of the dinghy... I love coming into this little island when it is deserted...
That's Carriacou in the background, with the PSV launch coming across from Union Island...
That's me taking a walk in "my office"....
The "Beehive" hut.... dinner can be arranged on the island for the guests staying in the PSV resort....
"Oasis" guests enjoying a swim in the crystal clear waters around Morpion...
Looking out at the vast "expanse" of Morpion and that's Union island in the distance....
Looking out to the east of the island and into the Atlantic...
